VILLAGE DAY
4TH JULY 2020

On the weekend of 4th and 5th July 2020, Banstead Village in Bloom are planning to showcase the village by putting on several events over the weekend.

The High Street will be sparkling and blooming, our volunteers will have worked hard to get everything shipshape and ready for everyone to enjoy.

At the Rotary Village Day Fayre, there will be a BViB stall where you will be able to find out information about our work,

chat to BViB volunteers and buy a map to our Open Gardens trail.

Banstead Open Gardens

10 gardens within one mile of the High Street will be open for you to visit. You can buy a ticket at the fayre or at any of the participating gardens. The ticket will allow you to visit all 10 gardens over both days of the weekend. We will also be showcasing the open spaces where BViB have worked throughout the year. Please contact us if you would like to open your garden to visitors.Tea and cake will be available in some gardens.

Shop Front Competition

Banstead’s High Street shops will be hanging out the bunting this weekend, offering you a selection of special offers and reasons to shop with them. There will be a special award given to the High Street business that has contributed most to Village in Bloom and its ethos. Ray Harwood of Centro will donate a prize of £500 to the business’s chosen charity.

Best Road off the High Street competition

Several roads that run adjacent to the High Street will be joining the In Bloom ethos and competing against each other to be crowned the Best Road. Prizes will be awarded at the fayre.
