Crocus planting in Banstead

Banstead Rotary teamed up with the Beacon School and Banstead Horticultural Society to plant up 5000 crocus corms outside the Banstead Library. Not only was this fun to do, but will contribute to the Purple for Polio appeal which aims to eradicate Polio.

Banstead residents will be able to enjoy the crocuses when they emerge in spring. The planting represents a pretty little stream winding round some ponds: it may be a little ‘thin’ in the first few years, but will fill out in the future.
