Banstead Village in Bloom

Banstead Village in Bloom's volunteers worked especially hard this Friday replanting the low level flower bed at the War Memorial roundabout, by The Woolpack.

Three weeks ago they removed all the plants, potted them up to look after, then dug over the bed, removing weeds and fibrous matter. This week, they have replanted everything they took out to make a much more balanced bed. We are hoping that next summer the bed will be even more beautiful and encourage many insects and bees.
